Pastor Sponsorships

You can sponsor a United Methodist pastor who lives and works in the Mutoko-Mudzi District of Zimbabwe.  Pastors earn very little, and the addition of just $20 per month enables them to provide healthier food for their families, education for their children, and more frequent visits to their parishioners.

If you would like to sponsor a pastor in Zimbabwe, we ask you to commit to:

  1. walk next to that pastor and his/her family in prayer.
  2. give a monthly donation of $20.
  3. establish a regular correspondence with the pastor.

You will receive a picture of the pastor and the biographical information that we have on that individual.

We encourage sponsors to correspond with their assigned pastors because it gives them encouragement and a sense of connection.  You become part of their extended family.  In addition, they pray for you and your family faithfully.

If you would like more information or to sponsor a pastor, please contact Becky Marshal at rebeccamarshall3@gmail.com or 724-468-4662.

I would like to introduce you my pastor friend.

The pastor that my friend and I sponsor is named Dudzai MutsikwiPAstor Dudzai He serves the Kowo Circuit in the Mutoko-Mudzi District in Zimbabwe, Africa.  He and his wife Priscilla have a son named Tinashe (age 7) and an infant son born on March 16, 2010, named Mukudzeishe which means “give praise or glory to God”.

Dudzai serves a rural circuit with three churches and he is also the Youth, Children, and Young Adults District Director in addition to his local church responsibilities.  He covers his circuit by foot and bicycle as he cannot afford a car.  Dudzai is a dedicated and loyal servant of God.

The Mutsikwi family raises pigs.  Part of the proceeds of the sale of the pigs helps with the school fees for some children who attend the school in his circuit.  His salary is not great, but out of  his meager funds he still gives to those who have less.  There are still Macedonians in today’s world
(2 Corinthians 8:2).  The money we as sponsors send each month means a great deal to these pastors.
